The make sure when you 'go to work' that you focus on working. Let your spouse and kids know that work time is seperate from family time. This way you will be more productive, and have a increased sense of accomplishment.

Consider also setting up a seperate phone line for business. Some phone companies offer a 'smart ring' service that offers a seperate number, that has a distinct ring. This will save you some money over a seperate phone line.

As an alternative to using your phone line for incoming faxes, check out the various fax-to-email services that are offered. These services assign you a new phone number for your fax line, and the faxes will then come in your email inbox.

Also be sure calculate the portion of home expenses you use for business and declare this as a write-off on your income taxes.
